Parking Advisory - Chinook Parking Lot

The Chinook parking lot (corner of 3rd Ave. & E St.) will be accommodating the “Weekend Market” from May 8, 2024 to September 12, 2024

Weekend Market

From May 11, 2024, until September 8, 2024, the Chinook parking lot will be closed to parking 12:00 a.m. Saturday through Sunday 11:59 p.m. to accommodate food trucks, and vendors.

Any unauthorized vehicles will be towed at the owners expense. Permit holders please see e-mailed notice for parking alternatives or reach out to Customer Relations for more information.

EASYPARK MONTHLY PERMITS & PROGRAMS — FAQ

GETTING STARTED

Q: How do I buy a monthly permit?
A: Create an account, choose your lot/garage or on-street permit area, add your license plate, and check out. Garage permits require a garage access card and have a one-time $20 administrative fee issuing a new garage card. On-street and lot permits are digital and license plate-based.

Q: Does a monthly permit guarantee a space?
A: No. Permits provide access to your selected facility/area; spaces are first-come, first-served.

Q: What happens if I lose my garage card?
A: Contact our office for replacement, there is a $20 lost card fee to be issued a new garage card.

PERMIT DURATIONS

Q: When do permits start and end each cycle?
A: Garage: 12:00 AM on the 1st through 11:59 PM on the last day of the selected month (Alaska Time). On-street/Lot: From your selected start date/time for 30 days (e.g., starts Sep 10 → ends Oct 9 at 11:59 PM Alaska Time).

Q: What if I purchase mid-month?
A: Garage permits are prorated if started after the 15th.  On-street/Lot permits always run for 30 days from the start date you select.

Q: What happens if my permit expires?
A: After expiration, normal parking rules and rates apply. Renew in the portal before it expires to avoid interruptions. You may need to requalify for Programs & Services.

Q: Do you offer any discounts or special services?

A: Yes, all parking programs are available to apply online through the Permit Portal. Find more information on our Programs & Services page.

Q: What courtesy services does EasyPark offer?
A: Battery jump-starts, tire air fills, and safety escorts to/from your vehicle in EasyPark garages and lots.

Q: How do I request help?
A: Call Dispatch & Security 24/7 at 907-297-4471. Tell us your location (garage/lot and level or stall number), your license plate, and the help you need.

CITATIONS & PERMIT ELIGIBILITY

Q: I have outstanding parking citations. Can I buy or renew a monthly permit?
A: No. All citations linked to your license plate(s) must be paid in full or dismissed before you can purchase or renew any permit.

Q: How do I check or pay my citations?
A: Visit the Citation Portal to make a payment. Have your license plate or citation number ready.

ACCOUNT, BILLING & RECEIPTS

Q: Is there an online payment fee?
A: A $2 online payment service fee is added by our payment processor for transactions completed in the Permit & Citation Portal. EasyPark does not receive this fee.

Q: How do I update my license plate or payment method?
A: Log in to the portal to update vehicles and account info at any time.

Q: How do I get receipts?
A: Monthly Permit receipts are available in the Permit Portal under “My Permits” or by contacting [email protected].

REFUNDS & ONLINE PAYMENTS

Q: Can I get a refund for a monthly permit?
A: Garage permits — Refundable if you cancel before the start of the selected month. Once the month has started, garage permits are non-refundable. On-street & surface lot permits — Refundable only before your selected start date/time. Once active, these permits are non-refundable.
Note: Unused days are not credited or refunded.

Q: Are online payment fees refundable?
A: The $2 online payment service fee is charged by our payment processor and is not retained by EasyPark. This fee is non-refundable. The permit amount may be refundable per the rules above.

Q: How will my refund be issued?
A: Refunds are issued by check only. You may pick up in person at Customer Service (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5 PM; photo ID required) or have the check mailed to your mailing address.

Q: How do I request a refund or change?
A: Call 907-276-7275 (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5 PM) or email [email protected] with your name, permit number, license plate, and mailing address.
